Hi,Hello,
I can’t even step outside after 10 AM the sun is literally turning us into tandoori. These days I just keep thinking about reaching the office as quickly as possible.
Would love to hear how everyone is managing this crazy summer season.
- How are you all handling this summer heat?
- Went on any vacation recently?
- Any tips to avoid dehydration?
- Staying indoors with AC all day or still traveling/work commuting?
- What precautions are you taking in this extreme heat?

I found myself buying more shakes and frappes more than usual.
Man this heat is a beast. I’ve switched most calls to early mornings and stay put in the office around noon. Coconut water and a big bottle keep me going all day. Anyone else changing hours to beat the heat?
Working from home helps a lot — no commute in peak heat is genuinely a quality of life upgrade in summer.
A few things that have made a difference for me:
- Shifted my productive hours to early morning (6-10 AM) and late evening (8-11 PM). Midday is basically a write-off for deep work when it's hot.
- Cold shower before sitting down to work — body temperature drops and you stay cooler longer than just using AC.
- Hydration with electrolytes, not just plain water. Plain water alone doesn't rehydrate as effectively when you're sweating a lot.
- Light meals during the day. Heavy food in summer heat makes the sluggishness much worse.
For dehydration: the early warning sign most people miss is a slight headache and reduced focus before they feel thirsty. By the time you're thirsty you're already somewhat dehydrated. Staying ahead of it with a bottle on the desk helps a lot more than drinking reactively.
Hi,
I get outside early morning and post evening only due to summer.
I’m not stepping out of my room, 16°C AC mode activated.
Meet me on Winter again!
We eat too many watermelons![]()
It is real very hot this summer. I am drinking lots of water. If I go outside in daytime, I drink ORS on return.

Here is burning weather almost 50degree i guess we're gonna go on vacation month until the weather cools down. Thats what the plan are
I'm mostly just trying to stay indoors with the ac blasting, drinking tons of water, and avoiding the sun as much as possible lol
Room AC, Car AC, Office AC
Daytime curfew
Staying away from my ex, and living on a Walmart inflatable bed in a hotel pool
Surviving with AC, iced coffee, and avoiding the sun like it’s an enemy boss fight![]()
Lol the tandoori comparison is too real. AC is basically my best friend right now. I try to get all outdoor stuff done before 9 AM or after sunset. Cold water with electrolyte tabs throughout the day has been a lifesaver for the dehydration side.
No vacation yet, just trying to survive the season here.
