Why do some Reddit posts get removed instantly?

Sometimes posts get removed even when they do not break subreddit rules.
Is Reddit filtering more aggressive now or is it mainly subreddit automods?
Curious what others are experiencing recently.

I'm experiencing the same issue. It seems that Reddit is really aggressive towards new users nowadays, even if the posts or comments are not made by AI. I got several suspensions just by trying to build karma, commenting in different communities.
 
I think a lot of it is just subreddit automods being strict lately. Reddit’s overall filtering might also be a bit more aggressive.
 
Some Reddit posts get removed instantly because they break subreddit rules, trigger spam filters, use banned keywords/links, or come from low-karma/new accounts.

It's maily depends on subreddit filters, account trust, and posting behavior. New accounts, repeated links, or fast activity can trigger removals automatically. Many subreddits now rely heavily on automod settings.
 
Some subs blame automod, but the same post dying across multiple subs usually means Reddit itself doesn’t trust you
 
Of course its automods algorithm. You need grow your accounts without external urls, ai generated content. Try to add quality and helpful answers(large amounts of text, links only to trusted domains) and only after some time start building your account towards earning money.
 
yeah i’ve noticed that too sometimes it feels like reddit itself is filtering more aggressively but a lot of the time its just subreddit automods being strict or catching certain keywords links new accounts low karma etc even if the post technically doesnt break the rules it can still get removed automatically i think it depends a lot on the subreddit lately some communities seem way harder to post in than others

it might be because of not warming up account, antispam reacts really fast

Reddit's automods seem much stricter now, especially with new accounts or posts containing links. Sometimes even normal posts get filtered until a moderator reviews them. Karma, account age, and subreddit history probably matter more than before.
 
I think Reddit is using both automods and stronger spam filters now. Posts can get removed even without breaking rules, especially if the account is new or the post format looks repetitive. Changing the wording and posting more naturally seems to help a bit.
 
It usually comes down to hidden account age/karma minimums, blacklisted keywords, or Reddit's sitewides spam filters instantly zapping your post. If there is no automated comment explaining why, your account or a link you used likely tripped an aggressive AI filter.
 
Yes I am facing the same issue reddit feels more strict now days, my posts are being removing even I am not breaking rules.
 
One thing i noticed is that Reddit sometimes removes posts if the wording sounds too SEO or marketing focused. Even genuine posts can get caught by automod because of certain keywords. I started writing more casual and shorter posts, and removals became much less frequent for me.
