What’s working best for Local SEO right now?

Optimized Google Business Profile and steady reviews still seem to have the biggest impact. Local backlinks and consistent citations also help, but activity and engagement on the profile often move things faster. On page SEO still matters too, especially for location based pages.

Google Business Profiles still do most of the heavy lifting for local rankings. Regular updates and getting consistent reviews make a noticeable difference. Citation helps but they don't move things as much as they used to.

GBP optimization and fresh reviews drive local rankings. Citations still matter. Local backlinks from news or chambers help. On page is baseline.

Hi everyone,
For those actively working with local clients, what strategies are currently moving the needle the most in Local SEO?
Are optimized Google Business Profiles still the main driver, or are citations and local backlinks making a bigger difference now? Also curious how much impact reviews are having compared to traditional on-page SEO.
Would appreciate hearing what’s actually working in real campaigns.
Thanks!
Well, for any business on page Seo is required 100 percent, and local seo requires content posting and and social sharing including GBP and other postings, if you are doing local backlinks from listing and job portals people will find you... Now I have generated few traffics from Job posting websites... Real Reviews has value too

Google Business Profiles are still the foundation, but they’re no longer enough on their own. Reviews especially consistent, recent ones are driving the biggest ranking and conversion gains right now. Local backlinks and real authority signals are what separate top performers, while citations are just basic hygiene.

google business profile strong reviews steady real engagement and consistent local signals beat everything else just stay active and legit

Still seeing strong results from a well optimized Google Business Profile combined with steady reviews and consistent updates. Local backlinks and on page SEO help, but GBP activity and trust signals seem to move things more.

Still seeing strong results from an optimized Google Business Profile, consistent business info, and steady real reviews. Local backlinks and solid on page SEO still help, but the profile is usually the first thing to get right.

Optimized Google Business Profile still seems to be the main factor. Reviews, consistent business info, and local backlinks also help a lot. Good on page SEO still matters, especially for competitive areas.

Google Business Profile is still doing most of the heavy lifting , especially when it is fully optimized and active . Reviews seem huge right now too , not just for trust but rankings since things like recency and volume really matter . Citations feel more like a foundation , while local backlinks and reviews push thing further . Overall , reviews + GBP together seem to move the needle more than anything else lately.

Local SEO right now mainly depends on Google Business Profile, reviews and consistency. A fully optimized profile already helps you rank better in local results. Regular reviews and replies improve trust and visibility. Simple location pages and same business details everywhere also keep rankings stable.

From what I’m seeing, Google Business Profile optimization + consistent reviews are still the biggest drivers.

Citations help for trust, but relevance + proximity + real engagement (calls, clicks, reviews) seem to matter more now.

Also noticed local backlinks from niche/area sites give a nice boost

Local reviews paired with Google Business optimization is the most effective strategy.
