I have a question.
So far I’ve only been running Search ads, but I still haven’t figured out how people advertise inside apps on the Play Store like in the image below. If anyone knows, could you share here?
My account is quite strong and can run App, Display, etc. campaigns. Does anyone know how this works?
This is a Google Ads (online gambling) ad targeting the Indonesia region, appearing inside the financial app [DANA] in Google Playstore

Thanks BHW!

For play store apps, app campaigns work better than normal search campaigns because Google optimizes installs automatically.

It's Universal Application Campaign - smart Google Ads Campaign for application advertising

There are two main possibilities:

Display campaign
You can run a Display campaign and let it show inside mobile apps by default, or try to target app categories / specific mobile apps through placements. Google’s own documentation says Display campaigns can show ads in mobile apps, and that placements can include apps.

App campaign
If the advertiser is promoting an Android app, it can also come from an App campaign. App campaigns can serve across Search, Google Play, YouTube, Discover, Display Network, AdMob, and other publisher inventory. But with App campaigns, you normally do not manually choose a specific app like DANA. Google optimizes placement automatically.
