Hello BHW!

I'm seeing a lot of Reddit pages in search results, so I decided to try creating my own farm of Reddit accounts and make money off it. Here's what I'm planning in general: automated warming and commenting, manual promotion of affiliate products, creating and growing subreddits, possibly with an NSFW focus on OF promotion.

I've read that Reddit currently uses behavioral antifraud, so at the start I'm not going to use physical phones or emulators. If my setup fails I'll switch to it. Current setup: antidetect browser, automation through LLM, mobile proxies, Gmail/Outlook accounts 50/50.

Current plan and what's done:

Profile warmer (cookie warmer) - 2-5 days - ✅ done
Account warmer (lurking, upvoting, subscribing to subs, etc., vanilla stuff)- ✅ done
Account commenting (reading thread context, account history, and relevant comments)- ❌ not done
Accounts panel -❌ not done
Making money (finding affiliate products and promoting them) -❌ not done

Current progress:

94 accounts total. Half are ~2 weeks old without comments, warming only. The other half have manual comments and karma ranging from 50 to 500. No shadowbans or actual bans yet, hopefully they survive.

Current task: scale to 200 accounts, find an affiliate program to promote, and figure out promotion methods, this is the main bottleneck right now, I have no idea which approaches actually work without triggering Reddit's detection. Also starting to subscribe the top 20 accounts by karma to subreddits relevant to whatever affiliate program I end up choosing.

I can answer questions within my limited competence, and I'm looking for advice from people more experienced with Reddit.

Good luck! I'll keep an eye on your thread - maybe I'll pick up something useful for myself

Good luck, keep us updated. :)

the NSFW/OF angle is where i'd actually focus first if i were starting this now, ran a test subreddit in that space last year and got to 4k members in about 6 weeks just riding the organic search traffic from people looking for specific creator names. the behavioral antifraud point is real but honestly the bigger kill switch i ran into was payment processors flagging affiliate links in certain subreddits, so worth vetting your offer's TOS before you build out the whole farm around it.

this is interesting, not really in the NSFW niche but have seen some stuff around it. Are you planning on doing affiliates? I feel like you could setup your own AI OF model and profit like that. Just a thought, could be harder done than said.

Do you somehow automate the process of warming up and increasing karma, or do you do everything manually?
