Just bought keikoconservation.com for $100 — did I overpay for this niche?

Hey, pretty new here. Just bought this domain for $100 because the .org version is an active conservation org so I thought the .com had value.


Honestly still learning lol. Is environment/conservation a good niche? And does the active .org help or hurt the .com value?


Any advice appreciated

Honestly no lol, I just liked the name and thought the .com had value since the .org is active. What should I have checked before buying?

It has a lot of dns changes and 2 drops, but on the whole it looks clean enough at first glance. I'm not really sure the niche is much of a moneymaker though. The .org site looks to be pretty inactive too.

It can be a nice learning project for you, but it's not super monetizable unless you are willing to scam people trying to donate to the real thing (which you shouldn't).

I think it’s a good deal. Those backlinks from AP News and UOL alone are worth more than $100.

For $100, you definitely didnt overpay as long as the backlink profile is clean. Having an active .org in the same niche can actually be a huge plus for the .com value because it creates natural branded search traffic that you can potentially capture.

$100 is okay if you put good articles and adsense on it.
in 2-3 years you'll cover that investment if adsense alone is there.
you can add affiliate ads and earn more.
