You did not mention budget. But it looks like you have less budget. Best bet is to do freelance work. Then gain capital and start other services. Like affiliate marketing. In affiliate marketing choose programs where people have more trust.

If I was starting from 0 in 2026, I'd probably go with seo and ai automation. seo still brings steady traffic but the big trend SEO still brings steady traffic and clients, but the big trend now is ai agents that make research, content, outreach and repetitive tasks.

When I was new to all this, the answer to this question from the "experts" was always copywriting.
I hated reading that answer. I wanted to know the cool new tactics, platforms, all that stuff.
Took me wayyyy too long to realise that the right answer was, yep, copywriting.
Learn how to sell, how to persuade, human psychology, all that stuff. It's the platform that will hold you in good stead for whatever you end up doing. Just learn it quicker than I did!

Ai services would be my pick. It is new and in demand currently. Continue learning SEO in the meanwhile, it will be useful. Also selling as a skill is imp when you try to make money online

If I were to start over, I would learn TikTok Growth and AI first. TikTok helps generate traffic quickly, while AI helps me work faster and sell my services more easily. After that, I would freelancing to earn money and gain practical experience. SEO and affiliate marketing are still good, but I think they'll be more effective once I already have an audience or the necessary skills.

I’d probably learn SEO or content creation first because those skills stack with almost everything else online. Once you know how to get attention and traffic, affiliate marketing, freelancing, and even AI services become way easier to sell. TikTok is good too but the algorithm can humble you overnight.
