Is It Normal for a New Blog to Feel Like No One Is Reading It?

Hi,
I just started blogging and it honestly feels like I am writing into an empty space right now.
I know it takes time, but it is a bit discouraging in the beginning. Did you guys go through this phase too, and how long did it take before you started seeing real engagement?

At the start, it really feels like no one is reading.

Most blogs stay like that for a while, usually takes a few months before you see real traction, just gotta keep going.
 
Yeah , that phase is pretty normal . It can feel like no one is reading at all in the beginning . For most people , it takes a few months before things start picking up a bit . Just staying consistent and giving it time usually makes a difference.
 
It is totally normal to feel like nobody is reading your content but regular posting with quality content can yield results.
 
At first, it often feels like no one is reading your content at all. Usually, it takes about 3–6 months to get some traffic going, and around 6–12 months before you start seeing real engagement if you stay consistent. Just keep posting helpful content and don’t depend too much on motivation results tend to show up after this slow, quiet period.

Don't give up. As long as you are writing useful, quality content, it'll pick up. The first 3-6 months are brutal but persevere, you'll get there so just have faith in your work and keep sharing/promoting it and it should pick up.

many bloggers go through this phase of feeling like they're writing into an empty space. It’s completely normal to start with low or no engagement.
 
Yeah, this is very normal in the beginning. Most people go through this empty blog phase for a few weeks or even a couple of months before traffic starts showing up.
 
Yea it was the same for me, like for 1 year I had only 3 readers, I even didn't know why I was still writing, but one day I had one more, and the next day it was 5 more, than 12 more, it was like a chain reaction, sometimes you must be really patient, it is that one post...
 
this is completely normal in the beginning, most blogs feel “empty” for a few months until Google starts trusting the site and indexing more content properly.
 
Totally normal, man. I felt that too when I started—like writing into an empty room. Took a few months before I saw real readers. Just keep posting consistently and maybe drop a comment on a few similar blogs; you’ll pick up traction in small steps.

Yeah, I am going through the same phase right now. It feels slow at first, but I have heard consistency matters. Hoping engagement starts picking up after a few months.

A blog would not get traffic unless you do the right promotions and optimisation. So, it's just about time but what you do within that time period. Your blog could remain without visitors for years if you don't do anything to bring in visitors.

At the beginning, yes it's going to have no readers/visitors.

It is discouraging but you should not give up. New blogs need a period of 6 months of constant work in order to get traction and finally become a nice piece of passive income. However, they are not fully passive as you should update your blog posts and add new ones at least weekly in order to get and stay ranked well.
 
its normally at all, i have experienced in this niche 3 years and in beginning, it normal to don't get views at first.
 
There's nothing to be discouraged about; just keep writing, writing, correcting mistakes, and writing until you get better. Don't overthink it. Many people comment on my writing, but I don't care; I just keep going.

That's totally normal—it takes time to build an audience. Don't get discouraged; keep writing, stay disciplined, and the traffic will follow :)

it's new, how is it even being "discovered"...
it's very normal
