What are some prohibited niches worked in 2025-2024 but now totally rulled out on google ads.

what difficulties you're face running them ?

do people still target European countries for blackhat niches on google ads ?

Google tightened the screws on crypto and tech support big time lately. basically any niche that requires aggressive landers is a struggle now cuz of their new ai verification. ppl r still hitting eu hard but u need top tier cloaking and super clean whitepages to stay alive more than 2 days.

biggest issue is the "circumventing systems" ban. if ur whitepage has even a tiny footprint from a public builder, ur done.

Why do i feel like EU publishers are on verge of extinction ? i see very few people engaging with google ads , when i comes to EU,

Google keeps tightening so stuff like cloaked affiliate offers fake tech support and misleading finance or health are much harder now. Main issue is accounts get flagged fast and even good campaigns die because of policy hits. EU traffic is still used but rules are stricter so burn rate is higher.

Tech Support all along, while risky niches like crypto, casino or pharma has been tightly regulated but is a profitable challenge

This feeling doesn’t come out of nowhere. In the EU, regulations have become stricter, Google Ads moderation is tougher, traffic costs are higher, and there are stronger requirements for business transparency. It has become more difficult to operate, especially in sensitive niches.

But that doesn’t mean the market is “dying.” It has simply changed and become less tolerant of aggressive marketing.

Plus, many people just fail to adapt to the new conditions. They keep using outdated approaches that no longer work, which creates the impression that the EU market is “empty.” In reality, those who have adjusted to the rules and changed their approach are still getting stable results.
couldnt agree more,

Not really prohibited but it is heavily restricted or at least strictly regulated is the gaming niche. The gambling sort, not the video game variety (not entirely at least because there is an intersect sometimes).
Policy's strict on it and enforcement is even more so.
For EU, people still target it because of course they would anyway. But yeah, a lot less forgiving there in particular than it was before and compared to most other regions.

you guys also feels like cloaking has moved out of the equation, i mean those so called cloakers are not that effective anymore with google ads ? please share your insights.

What I’m about to say is a bit off-topic, but I think black hat practices, or operating in prohibited niches, are going to disappear soon. Let’s be realistic: we’re competing against companies worth trillions of dollars, whose algorithms are literally getting stronger every second. I believe many black hats should shift toward more “white hat” activities, even if they are more long-term. Personally, that’s what I did, and I don’t regret it.

I mean, do you really want to dive into increasingly sophisticated technical details just to try to hide from Google, Facebook, etc., when your job is to be a businessman, not a technician?

Deffo wouldn't say it's moved outta the equation necessarily, though fair to say it's certainly less effective that it was. It's a lot to do with enforcement of the platforms themselves, I'd say.. Something can work short-term but it might become harder and harder to sustain right until it fails.
There are new approaches and ways to make it viable but as far as old workarounds go, not nearly as effective.

i think one thing that is entirely changed from past 2yrs is tracking, i dont see any workaround them. this was the one thing that hits me personally. redirects and filtereing are not much of problem for me as of now.

Many blackhat niches that worked in 2024–2025 are now heavily restricted on Google Ads, especially gambling, crypto, nutra, sweepstakes, cloaking, and misleading finance offers.

Main problems now are:

- instant suspensions
- strict verification
- domain/account bans
- ad disapprovals
- difficult scaling

Google’s AI moderation became much stronger, so aggressive campaigns get flagged faster.

Yes, some affiliates still target European GEOs because traffic quality is high, but regulations there are also becoming much stricter now.

From what I’ve seen, Google became much stricter in late 2024–2025 on niches like gambling, crypto, sweepstakes, pharma and “grey” leadgen flows.

A lot of campaigns that used to survive with basic cloaking or aggressive landing pages now get flagged much faster because Google improved ML checks, payment profile analysis and account trust evaluation.

Main difficulties now:

  • instant suspensions,
  • advertiser verification,
  • payment/profile trust issues,
  • domains burning faster,
  • stricter policy reviews on Search campaigns.
EU GEOs still work, but moderation there became much tougher compared to before, especially for finance, gambling and health-related offers.

Right now account quality/trust matters much more than it did 1–2 years ago.

a lot of gray/BH verticals that worked in 2024–2025 became much harder in 2026 because enforcement shifted from ad-level to account-level trust analysis.
the hardest niches now are gambling, crypto financial products, tech support, sweepstakes, and misleading affiliate funnels.
the main difficulty isn’t approval anymore ,it’s maintaining stable delivery without silent throttling, reviews, or account suspensions.
The biggest dead niches on Google Ads now are anything tied to gambling, cloaking, fake tech support, and unlicensed crypto promotions.

There's that at least. Could perhaps look around how others go skirt around tracking and see what personally works out for you (there are some discussions on it here with some specifics) even if it's a fringe method. Explore your options, and all that.

Northon is prohibited and we are facing compromise site
Yes people still running European and we got good result

Google is nuking crypto and sketchy health offers that used to slide by easily, now you get instant bans, so you need top tier cloaking and aged accounts just to keep things running for more than a day, people still hit europe but the compliance checks are getting way more annoying in the bigger countries like germany and france.

google's way more aggressive on anything remotely “high risk”

the hardest part isn’t even approvals, it’s account longevity
you can get campaigns running, but keeping them stable at scale is difficult

and yeah, people still target europe, but compliance pressure there is also much higher now compared to a few years ago

They are heavily restricting Reputation Management keywords as well.

According to our clients, it's a mess over there they've really tightened the screws. The same goes for banking. And it seems like they've banned technical support altogether. All that fuss won't help.
