not sure how they sell a hosting for $5/Year, only the Cpanel license costs 0.20/month for every account, so a $2.4/Year only the license, so all the server resources are sold for $2.6/Year. Really good offer, but not sure if is sustainable.

Someone just told me (unless he made a mistake) that it's $25/MONTH for a CPanel. Maybe he meant per year, IDK.

I hate them. They are a terrible company.

Their GUI is from the stone ages, it's not intuitive, I have to go around in circles just to get to another domain, & they charge the hosters a fortune.
 
those prices are exteremely competetive. As a web hosting company i wouldn't be able to compete these ones. I might wrong, but those prices must attract too many customers and they over-sell the resources, otherwise i can't see how it's possible!
 
Dear people I have a lot of bad experiences from few webhosting companies I 've tested few years ago a nightmare with many. Please make here a list, and write your experiences down, it will be helpful for us all to avoid the bad webhosting plaque- the scummers. My personal advise is; when you nowadays have to put all your assets on your one main domain website (your blog, your services, your youtube videos, your audio podcasts whatsoever) instead of having a separate domain for that, you need a strong scalable webhosting provider.

Not shitty namecheap or the Godaddyfokkers- no. More like Rocket.net, Wordpress.com, (business plan it handles well high traffic spikes) Kinsta. WPEngine I have Speedypage and be very satisfied with them their email support ticket is fast, friendly and helpful. For this have all your assets on one main domain website you should not go lower than $15 monthly billing with a webhosting provider- and check a lot of managed vps forbid you have normal email traffic (normal not like a newsletter!) like UK Hoster Hostwind, they make a whole webhosting service useless when you not can have normal email traffic.

And have all these assets on one main domain when you do blogging daily then Squarespace and any website builders are out of option for this.

ran into this same thing last month on a 1gb plan... logs and database overhead eat up space way faster than your actual content.

ended up having to cron a script to clear trash daily or the site would lock up.

Your should choose a good reputation fast webhosting who has ssd drive and has minimum 80GB storage you can expand when needed. Not webhostings who have only 3 or 5GB storage.

dewlance for $5/year, huh? seems kinda sus, tbh. 1gb storage ain't much, but the price is tempting for a quick side project. anyone actually used them and can vouch for their uptime? i'm always skeptical of the super cheap ones. gonna check out the perfops results later, tho. might save me some cash if it's legit
