[Journey] Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc Streaming Farm Journey to Monthly $2000.

how many songs do you have for 17800 streams per month?
What is a safe number of streams per month for a song?

Hi ! I have a fully automated farm for spotify (but basically i could automate every others platforms if needed). I'm seeking for a good distro that doesn't take down the accounts. Currently i'm using essentially 2 distros and they are paying me but i want to add some more. If someone knows i would be glad to hear about that

Take downs mainly happen because of a wrong setup on your end. Distro's play only a slight role in this, but 95% of the cases it's because of your setup.

Thank you for your answer !
It seems some distros are more cautious than others that's why i'm asking for one. But if you have some advices for my farm i would be glad to hear and to adapt my setup if needed !

I have some questions.
I tried Apple Music but the issue I got is that I got the streams count in the Apple Music creator but it's not reflecting in distrokid will I get the royalties or not?
and in your farm are you using proxy for the farm and if yes does it justify the cost of the proxy and which proxy do u use ?

So see the reason that for me, i wont do any other countries than USA or UK because they pay good. And if you are streaming with these two and you not getting high payout from apple, then it means that your distro is not treating you right.

In September 2025 I made 78,224 streams on Apple Music (most of those streams are coming from free trial Indonesian accounts); however; this weekend DistroKid has sent payment for September 2025 streams, and the royalties don't match the streams received. I'm wondering whether these streams will still be paid in royalties the following month.

I'll be updating this next month

TRIAL accounts won’t pay but FREE account will pay the same amount as premium individual subscriptions.

The difference between TRIAL and FREE

Trial accounts come from Apple allowing new users to test their platform for a period of time before becoming paying customers.

Free accounts come mostly from partnerships and campaigns between Apple and other companies. The companies usually issue a redeemable e-code to customers.

PS: I have e-codes for 3 - 4 months Apple Music subscription. Anyone who needs can hit me up.

You cannot completely avoid takedowns but you can reduce the chances of it happening. The idea is to mirror a natural streaming behaviour. How do normal people discover and listen to music? If you can answer that question, then you ca worry less about takedown.

That said, some distributors are also either too careful or outrightly unfair in their dealings. You can read reviews on trustpilot. Don't take it literally, just use it as a guide to make distro decisions.

Not quite true, trial accounts do pay, but the mix of the artist is important.

If that artist has 10 listener and 6 are paid and 4 are trial, it will be a normal pay per stream. If its around or even worse, 8 trial and 2 paid, the pay per stream will drop to 0,002 even on Apple.
Pay per stream is decided by what the artist (or its listeners) do contribute to the royalty pool overall.

I have data to show that irrespective of the mix, trial accounts pay 0.00 amount. When you look at your streaming revenue breakdown, you will see the streaming numbers for those trial accounts but the value is 0.00. You will also see the streaming numbers and amount for paid accounts. I did this a/b testing for a couple of months and the result was consistent.

I am doing this for 5 years, and individual trial premium accounts for Apple Music have always paid if it was only a minority.
Feel free to share your dats privately with me, i am happy to discuss and explore.

It will take a while to dig those out from 2024 but I will find time to do so. Both from CD Baby and DK

Nice update, pes7md. I’ve done a similar thing—takes a few months before you see payouts roll in. Spreading across distros definitely beats sticking to one. Audiomack looks interesting, curious how it holds up over time. Keep the updates coming.

Hey buddy, are you using a proxy to run Apple Music or Spotify? Or are you using your local Wi-Fi?

Different distros require different settings. While the very strict ones will likely trigger from the use of proxy instead of sims, the less strict ones do not mind. The thing is to set your artists and songs according to the number of IPs you have so everything can be balanced.
I have some questions.

So this happens especially during the first month of starting to use a new distrokid account. If it is happening in the first month, it is fine. But if it is happening to an account thats over a couple of months old then it means something is wrong with your settings.

Anyone you will buy apple accounts from, ask them if the accounts were created using codes or credit card. Only use accounts created with codes. For me, i have been using UK Apple accounts with codes cos they pay double of what US pays. While USA accounts pay about $70 for 10k plays, UK accounts pay $140 for same number of plays. If you need UK apple codes that works for 3 - 4 months even on already used uk apple accounts, you can hit me up.

Well said! This simply explains the difference between the two type of apple accounts available out there. Only that most people sell the credit card accounts as thats the easiest to create especially for UK so be careful what type of accounts you buy there
