Hi guys,

I’m facing an issue with my Google Ads account. My ads are getting disapproved due to the “Unacceptable Business Policy.”
I’m not sure exactly what is causing this problem. My website seems fine to me, and I’m not promoting anything illegal or misleading (as far as I know).
Has anyone faced this issue before?
  • What are the common reasons for this policy violation?
  • How can I fix it and get my ads approved again?
  • Do I need to make changes to my website or ad copy?
Any help or guidance would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe a tweak In your ads headline is all that's required
By the way..you didn't mention the niche
Not much help can be offered without that

My niche is beauty (mainly skincare products)
Most likely you will need to change your approach, because the "beauty" niche is on the border with "medicine" and therefore is subject to special scrutiny by Google.
The system scans your ads and landing pages for "medical" terms.

Prohibited
Unsubstantiated medical claims: Avoid words that promise treatment or cure.
Exaggerations and guarantees: Promises of "revolutionary results," "100% effect," or "miracle serum" are also red flags.

With Google Ads, “Unacceptable Business Policy” usually means low trust signals.

Common causes:

  • No About / Contact / Privacy pages
  • Thin or AI-only content
  • Direct linking to CPA offers
  • Misleading or exaggerated claims

Fix:

  • Make site look like a real business (add legal + contact info)
  • Use a landing page (bridge) before offer
  • Keep ad copy honest, no hype
  • Then request review again

It’s about trust, not just content

If you’re sure the account didn’t violate any rules, just submit an appeal through Google’s form. A lot of accounts get reinstated within 24 hours.

If you don't know, how is anyone remote gonna know if you don't share what you have been advertising.

How do you ever think anyone can diagnose this without details "as far as I know nothing illegal" is not enough.

It's either the lander or the final destination.

Why don't you post these

For skincare specifically, the "Unacceptable Business Policy" flag almost always comes from one of three things:

1. **Claim language on the landing page.** Google's classifier is tuned for phrases like "reduces wrinkles," "clinically proven," "dermatologist recommended" — anything that reads like a health outcome rather than a cosmetic result. Even subtle phrasing like "repair" or "restore" can trip it.

2. **Before/after imagery.** If your landing page has before/after photos, Google often treats this as a medical claim flag regardless of product category.

3. **Ingredient-forward copy.** Copy that leads with specific active ingredients (retinol, niacinamide, salicylic acid) and links them to outcomes tends to get flagged more than copy that focuses on texture, feel, or application experience.

Practical fix path:
- Audit the landing page specifically for outcome language and soften it to experience language ("leaves skin feeling smoother" vs. "smooths skin")
- Remove or replace any before/after images
- Submit for manual review after changes — don't just wait for automated re-review, it can sit in queue for weeks

Also worth checking: if your product has any reviews or press quotes on the landing page, make sure none of them contain medical claim language either. Google scans the full page content including testimonials.
Ah yeah, now that I see skincare, yeah these are heavily protected and difficult.

This is a very good post.

Amazon, for example, if you don't have compliance papers etc they will just lock your inventory until you have that. Same with Google.

Usually it's landing page issues . thin content, misleading claims, or a restricted niche (supplements, finance, etc.) even if it seems legit to you. Run your URL through Google's policy guidelines and check if your claims have proper disclaimers.
Ad copy triggers it too, so audit for anything that sounds like guaranteed results or exaggerated benefits. If everything looks clean, request a manual review and be specific in your appeal about what you fixed.

In my experience, you'll likely need to cloak the ads for this, because in the skincare industry, it's hard to fully follow Google’s policies. If your products make sensitive claims or fall into a grey area, cloaking can help you avoid restrictions.

I ran into this before.
In my case, it was related to how the website content and claims were structured. Small things like wording and trust signals can trigger it.

Might be worth checking that first.

Which niche does your landing page pertain to ? Which niche does your campaign's keywords pertain to ? Which niche does your campaign's ad headlines & ad descriptions pertain to ?
There are numerous reasons for unacceptable business practices account suspension. Even a single sentence construction in an ad headline / ad description / landing page can trigger Google Ads algorithms to consider your ad and/or landng page being related to an illegitimate business model. Yes, Google Ads algorithms use AI and AI can decipher certain sentences in it's own way, though that same sentence could be deciphered differently by you and me. Ofcourse, apart from this example, there are lots of other reasons for unacceptable business practices account suspension. But, I gave this example to show that mostly an advertiser would consider nothing wrong in the campaign and nothing wrong with the landing page.

I tend to agree with you. Most likely, they were found to have misled businesses by not fully disclosing the actual situation. Another possible issue is that the landing page included exaggerated claims or language that made promises they couldn’t guarantee.
Especially for those doing affiliate marketing, it is essential to disclose truthfully and clearly explain your relationship with the affiliate brands.

Hey, don't panic. The "Unacceptable Business Practices" flag usually triggers automatically when Google’s bot thinks your landing page looks sketchy, especially since you are collecting data through a form.

Here is the quick fix checklist:

Fix your footer: You must have links to a Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and real contact info (email/phone). If your site looks anonymous, Google instantly flags it.

Tone down the copy: Remove any hype, fake countdown timers, or crazy promises (like "100% Guaranteed" or "#1 Best"). Keep it strictly professional.

Don't just click "Appeal": Fix the website first. Once that's done, contact support via chat and ask for a manual review so a real human looks at it instead of the bot.

Fix the footer pages and you should be good to go!

I seen this happen many times even with normal looking missing business info, unclear policies, bridge pages or something on landing page triggering trust checks.

That "Unacceptable Business Policy" rejection from GAds can be super frustrating. Usually, it's a website issue, like misleading content, broken links, or something against Google's rules, so double-check your site and ad copy against their policies and make sure everything's squeaky clean
