Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on improving my website’s SEO and I keep hearing that guest posting is one of the best ways to build high-quality backlinks.
From what I understand, guest posting means writing an article for another website and including a backlink to your own site in the content or author bio. These backlinks can help increase domain authority and bring referral traffic if the site is relevant to your niche. ()
I’ve seen several methods people recommend:
1. Using Ahrefs or similar tools
Analyze competitor backlinks and see which websites have accepted guest posts from them.
2. Google search operators
Searching things like:
Contact blog owners directly and pitch a content idea related to their audience.
However, I still have a few questions for people who have done this successfully:
• How do you identify high-quality guest post sites vs spam blogs?
• What metrics do you usually check (DR, traffic, niche relevance)?
• Do you prefer guest posts or niche edits for SEO?
• How many guest posts per month usually make a noticeable difference in rankings?
I’m trying to build backlinks in the travel / visa / tourism niche, so I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience or workflow.
Thanks in advance!
