Hi there BHW Memebers,

So I have recently started SEO, and I wanted to know how dose parasite seo Works and how would I rank the Web2.0 Articles which are posted on Medium.

Let me know How it works and please help me Understand that.

Yeah I get that but how exactly would it work like, would i need to link my site how would it work ???

Thanks for That information but how would I link my site?

How would this work and is this like link wheel, where their are 5 blog sites and 1 money site ???
 
Medium still ranks but medium may ban you for affiliate links or google will ban you and not index you for no apparent reason. (I know why because medium have been beaten to death by spammers.)
Both happened to me. I just stave clear off medium. Key is to keep finding new sites and keep posting.
 
What fascinates me about parasitic SEO is that we often see it in SERP even for irrelevant domains. For example, in our gaming business, we see many parasits in leading positions, even though they are articles on newspapers or even on domains that deal with completely different topics, such as selling bicycles or technology topic. DR (real one, not faked) is the the king here

So if you want to try parasitic SEO, according to our findings, you don't have to pay as much attention to relevance as you do for example. with link building... that is very strange

Gotta love BHW, everyone just giving generic answers and ignoring what OP is actually looking for :D So many AI responses just spinning other users answers as well.

I'm not a parasite SEO pro but I don't think the idea is to link to your money site, sounds like you're asking for web 2.0 link building practices with perhaps tierd linking. When I've seen parasite SEO it's usually doing affiliate links, that's what I've seen on Outlook India, Forbes etc at least. Linking to a well optimized funnel page to capture emails first could also be a good idea. Stay away from the spammy parasites, especially if you're going to link to your own website.
 
Use an authoritative resource (domain) to publish SEO content, which allows you to rank faster.

Use platforms like Medium or similar sites with a high level of trust.

Brief checklist:
1. Choose a topic and keywords without super competition (Semrush will help you).
2. Write high-quality content on your chosen topic!
3. After publishing the content, add links to the article. You can use links from hacked sites (you can buy hundreds of them for $0.40 each).
4. Index your article and links to it using indexing services (there are many of them, and they cost pennies).
If you haven't done any of these steps well, you shouldn't expect any traffic anyway...

P.S. Parasite SEO has gotten worse in recent years, in my opinion.

Parasite SEO is just using high-authority sites like Medium to rank instead of your own site. Since those platforms already have trust, your article can rank faster. To help it rank, choose the right keyword, write decent content, and build a few links to it. Just remember, you don't control the platform, so it's not fully stable long term.

Parasite SEO is done when you create guest posts/articles to other reputable sites like medium and gain advantage of their already high authority. You place links on these articles back to your site and enjoy the spike in your traffic. However, if you're found out it's possible to get banned using this method so proceed with caution.

Parasite SEO simply involves placing links on other websites that point back to your own site. However, most links obtained from Web 2.0 platforms and social networks are nofollow links.
