The setup isn't too difficult and yes the programs work as long as you read the guides and understand what it is capable of.

This depends heavily on what type of forum and if the forum is protected by Cloudflare. I have noticed that the success rate of signing up to forums is indeed extremely low no matter what email service is used.

You can easily setup a proxy list to have it scrape the public proxy sites and determine if proxies are alive by using the engine.php on your server.
