What is the content like for each page? If one page is thinner than the other google might be using it as it considers it to be a better resource also make sure in your content for each page are the keywords you're targeting.

It's a good way to hide your footprint from previous work and it's a great way to revive a dead website. If you have an aged Domain then it's a good idea to change email address if you're planning to revive it for its old keywords (I'm currently working on an older website atm).
