I had a ban from namecheap few years ago and I lost my domain finally. Their DNS and interface are terrible.

It is a bad idea because it would be very difficult to transfer domain in case of troubles with registrar. You need a drop (a real person who will give his personal documents)

I also have drop from 200 to 30-40 visitors per day. It seems google lost my targeting country, because I have too much links in English for a German site (for my opinion).

I noticed that some not optimized (as we thought earlier) pages without keywords like "buy" etc. got better ranking... Question-answer content style is more welcomed by google. Also the context of links has become more and more important. I have many links in English but my website is in German...

What about some email marketing? Of course if you have some client database. I used noreferer redirects from another proxy sites, it shows up as direct traffic in GA.

Yep, we use real customer reviews. For the first time we offered a bonus for a review, but then we noticed that a good service and a bonus "in advance" gives a much better result. But for a brand new site I think it is better to write few reviews yourself and it should be done very carefully.
