I can't tell exactly thb. I played with SEO in 2014 but without success and then I started my own little ecommerce store. I'm 100% focused on SEO alone since 2017 I'd say.

Still weird that stuff like this happens at all. I currently get 1.5k+ daily visitors to the site in question. Why would the highly trafficed homepage deindex?
Quick update: One of the pages that was deindexed is back ranking the same positions as before. I did the indexation request in WMT; took literally 2 mins for Google to index and rank
Same here. Root deindexed and a couple of other pages. Root + most other pages reindexed today (1 day later). I'll try indexation request in WMT for the other pages.
Makes sense, but the sites ranking above me are niche sites as well and at least according to Ahrefs DR (I know this has nothing to do with Google), the sites are in no way more authoritative than mine.
I think Google just doesn't know what the f*** they are doing. They are clearly lightyears away from understanding content/determining its quality. So many shitty sites are ranking above me right now (since after the algo update). My content is top-notch, like absolute highest quality. Theirs is...
