I agree with you on this 100% just need to look around. I've come across end displays (clearance) in large department stores of collectibles. My best recent one was 50+ waterford crystal ny yankee baseballs, checked ebay from my phone. Found the store manager and haggled the clearance price down...

The bottom line is "you are doing it" you will learn "do this" and "don't do that", good for you for jumping in and not just talking :)
