Did you solve this? I'm trying to set up my private supposedly socks enabled proxies for whois addon on SB and not having any joy even connecting when I specify them as socks proxies by adding S to the beginning of the IP - is there something I'm missing? They connect OK when specified as http...
It seems from the Loopline video on SB whois that you need to use socks NOT http proxy, at least for SB. I have tried several (shared but paid for) socks proxies today and had no success at all even for only a handful of urls- getting error (blocked). I'm guessing this is poor quality socks...
