I cleared up mine list with high spam score via disavow tool on Google Search Console. The domain rating went up by 5 positions. I cannot say for sure if the rankings for some words changed but organic traffic went up a bit. So do it, I don't think you will make a mistake out of it.

Same here. We are trying to do some customized e-mails to guest post website and so on. Not many reply. When I analyse our competitors links they too don't have these high authority links that we are going after.
