Ah ok. I didn't see you mention that. Have you had any luck with spam texting? In the past I came to an agreement with myself that there is no way to safely monetize this method. It always failed when it came to the money trail. But I would be impressed if you could safely pull this off.

I was thinking about adding this feature onto my text mailer, but then what would be the point? I mean, you can send free texts through smtp, or your own ISP in my software (if you want to include a link). So wouldn't you just choose the free method verse buying a throw away phone?

Keeping the lowest overhead possible should be the #1 goal of anyone new to mobile marketing. If you have to pay to send out texts, or pay a monthly membership fee, odds are that you will lose money and become very discouraged when things don't happen like you planned.

I don't think buying mobile traffic is the answer. These numbers are not targeted enough, and people are more likely to opt-out because they consider it spam. A better solution would be to set up your own landing page with form to capture their mobile number.
