For paid traffic, you have to make a landing page. You have to build an email list. Based on my experience, that's the only way.

I'm totally agree with this. Based on my experience, I'm only promoting one product at a time. Maybe for a month. I'm testing and testing using paid and free traffic. If it convert, I will scale it up. If it doesn't then I move to another products. I think it's all about testing...
