If your site is still new, Do It! But if it's already established and ranking, I personally wouldn't touch it.

It's just as important to make sure the domain history is clean and isn't penalized by Google. This could set you back several months to get resolved.

I see a lot of difference in load time of the WordPress dashboard when using different hosts. The sites hosted on AWS load almost instantly while sites on other hosts take longer. So you might want to check with your hosting company.
