- The software doesnt crash, if it does it have a auto start, it auto updates, you dont have to do anything it will always be running. And also, can anybody recommend a VPS that would have sufficient specs for running this software all day? I'm not quite sure what VPS specs I will need for it...

I Am a mac user myselff, so no you gotta use it on a VPS or a VM. I use it o na VPS you can get a free vps there is a tutorial on there website

All VPS are windows Base... for use on mac you can use a VM. Im on a mac what i do is i use it on a VPS.. you can get one free on amazon MP have a tutorial how to get a free vps on amazon on the blog.
