It depends on the deal you have with the company you're generating leads for. A lot of affiliates that I work with generate most of their leads from SEO, PPC and email. I'm sure that'd work well in any industry.

Generating profits from ads is very difficult and can be really costly if you're not experienced. I wouldn't recommend it unless that money is throwaway money. Do more research and test out in small portions.
