Don't be fooled, Hostgator is the biggest and most reliable hosting company on the net. If someone is telling you otherwise, he is probably too lame to create a website in the first place or is advertising another company (watch post above).

Hostgator is the best, just test your site locally and you will know what script takes the most cpu time.
