Around 10–20 solid articles per month has worked well for me. I prefer getting the content right from the start, then updating the ones that show potential.

Niche edits and genuine editorial placements have been working really well lately. PBNs can still have their place, but I’d be much more selective with them than I was a few years ago.

Manual checks every few months can work for a small backlink profile, but once you have hundreds of links it’s easy to miss changes. A backlink monitoring tool with alerts is much more reliable.
