EMD's are very important, but an EMD and having the keyword in the url are two very different things. EMD's - when used in the correct format - are more effective than having the keyword in the url like abcd.com/keyword - however, many people aren't aware of the necessary specifics of a proper EMD.

Not in all cases. I know people who have pr8 & pr9 sites who have no idea how to use it to their advantage. That's true. However, you can still use these methods to make money. Just expect to work harder for less money than you'll have to once you reach PR7 :)
