Update: I just received a full refund from archixet - so I'm considering my issues resolved. He ended up handling the refund professionally - and we resolved things amicably.

Just pull up the source, and ctrl/cmd+f the string that pops up, and replace with whatever you want.

Facebook apps are just JS/HTML5 applications that interact with the facebook API. If you know JS/HTML5, read the fb docs for more information about their APIs

You can do HMAC validation. Depends what language you're using but usually unique hash implementations are trivial.

Simply put: If you have no experience building software or managing developers, you have no business quoting hour estimates or project deadlines. Let someone with more experience than you handle that for you.

Newer mobile OS's will have more and more strict permissioning systems. Anything you build now to exploit these holes will inevitably get patched in a later version.

Why not build one yourself? Consuming APIs is easy. You could even build the whole thing in JS if you wanted to just roll it in node.

Same exact thing happened to me. Bought 5k targeted USA followers (for $55 - I think I got ripped off too), TAT was supposed to be a week. Been contact with him over skype and it's always "Just a few hours". It's been over 4 weeks now. I am 90% sure I got scammed. --EDIT-- Archixet refunded me...
