Just bought 4 accounts - All unuseable. Backup codes all used already on account 1. 2 and 3 had rambler.ru emails, which require a Russian phone number to activate. And the 4th was on an email service that no longer exists. Pretty shitty stuff.

You absolutely can promote crypto for payment. Unless the dev tells OP he's going to rug then it's 100% legal to promote it. Those influencers were insiders with a stake in the coin. They directly financially benefitted from tricking people into buying it. That's very different than promoting...
