Its all upto you, adding or not adding doesnt affect your rankings, the only rule of thumb being, if you are engaging in seo, then dont add all of your sites, or even more than one site on a single webmasters account.

Improve your gigs and work on legitimately promoting them, you will see far better success.

It depends upon what your blog is all about, if your backlinks are intact and if you continue building links and you rank in a popular niche then I dont think new content would matter.

I dont think this technique works like it used to, better focus upon seo rather than popularity without actual efforts.

It looks like a hacking technique, which is more than just blackhat seo.
