I'm an advocate for the pyramid link structure as well. Admittedly I thought a link-wheel was just another way to describe the link pyramid (my geometry teacher would roll in his grave if he read that).

be mindful when using automated programs though, it works for certain things but if you're working with clients it's best to be transparent about your methods..
