From what i have seen, focusing on genuinely helpful content is the safest approach. Sites that rely too much on shortcuts tend to get affected during updates, but content that actually helps users usually holds up better.

One simple way is to look at three things: 1. Your interest (so you don't quit) 2. Search demand( so people are actually looking for it) 3. Monetisation potential Even a simple niche works if you stay consistent and provide value content.
