What level of management will you be needing? Neither Bluehost nor Hostgator provide any real help with optimizing a wordpress website. You would be better off looking for a specialist if you wanted similar services.

I have had great success with smaller companies because they honestly value your business... ImbaHost is who I currently use and their support seems like it is always responsive within a minute or two. Great company. Sites have never gone down unintentionally. :D
