Yes, it solely depends on how big the segment is to conclude if that needs a link in your main page or a whole lot of segment with promo articles with keywords. You have to make sure you choose the right keywords to get traffic. All the best.

It's not a Google problem - you need to contact your ISP to resolve the issue. Huge graphics can create slow loading times, but I can't see at a glance, any on your site that would pose a problem. It's more than likely a connectivity issue with your host. Source: Google support

I am using a DSL connection and have dynamic IP address. When I tried registering to few forums, my IP address got blocked for using a Proxy. I don't use a proxy connection to my knowledge. I don't know what is it all to do with my home connection and ISP? My ISP guys aren't able to understand...

Proxies are detected no matter how smart the user is. Socks are undetectable but it is advised not to cheat as there may be chances of IP getting blocked.
