Use blogger, you cannot lose money. It will get you started. THEN. Learn how to set up your own blog, it's not rocket science, and if your blogger blog is successful maybe transfer it to your own hosted blog.

Can you access phpmyadmin from cpanel? If so dump the DB onto your hard drive. Download your wp-config.php with FTP and if you have updated your theme FTP it to your hard drive. At least then you will have most stuff backed up.

If this client is an established business then you want to get recent happy customers to review. That is what I do once I have the business set up in places etc. Set up an email template for them and get them to send to recent customers with some links to your preferred citation sites...

How are you monetizing the site? If it's adsnse you may have triggered a manual review. Is your content good and unique? I have heard of many people that get dropped from the SERPS once they hit 1k a month.

If you are putting it up for a client pay for it, but factor it in to your charges, if it's for yourself then up to you if you take your own chances. That's exactly the way I play it.

The only time I have done it is when the business has no citations or reviews. I set up a couple of citations with reviews just to "get the ball rolling". I then get the business to encourage customer reviews. I would not rely on false reviews, that can only work possibly short term.
