Interested to see if its possible to hide backlinks from Ahrefs and SEMrush without impacting SEO. Has this been tested?

I believe there are similar issues with Bing Webmaster Tools. Reports are sometimes delayed, but you should also check your indexing status and crawl errors to make sure they are processing your sitemaps and removing crawl errors.
