They don't have to be connected to same wifi, they just have to have it enabled.

Well, you are automatically connected with everyone, you don't have to be friends with them. And it is anonymous,(you can change you name or picture whenever).

The idea is to make classroom chat app where students can all connect into same chatroom and chat, but I don't get many downloads. Any tips how to promote? I cant post the link to app yet, but name is chalkchat - the classroom chat app. Iphone only.
