Twitter is very niche-specific. Any niche that thrives on content and discourse will do well on Twitter. That's its selling point; that's why people congregate there.

It depends what kind of automation you're talking about. Mass following/unfollowing, liking, retweet, etc. are rate-limited by API anyway. But simple scheduling or conditional actions (not mass actions) can still be accomplished easily.

It seems odd that hacking discussion is prohibited seeing that both hacking and black hat methods involve gaming the system.
