Hey, i already did that ages ago, it's a really long process involving waiting like 3 weeks for a letter to be delivered in the post.
I rank top in the local area for several keywords.
also i have just noticed by some absolute miracle i have also got the #1 spot for my target keyword as well which i wasn't even in the top 1000 for before?
Really weird but i won't complain, i adjust my title tag to focus on it more because of this thread but i had no idea it would make that...
Just a quick follow up for all of you who contributed to this thread.
As of today my site is now currently ranking above the other site, which is great news. I now have the #1 spot!
I made only one change other than my usual seo efforts and that was to add the keyword into the description at...
I Think this is a really interesting point, i have another site which does reviews for products, it's roughly the same age as my other site and i have one products where i am at #1 for when searched on google, whereas i have another very similar products which i am half way down page 2 for...
do you mind me asking how you found out that the domain has been at #1 for a long time?
I think that would be a really interesting thing to be able to look at for different keywords.
actually i've just thought, nobody has had a stab at explaining why some of my pages don't rank near the top for very prescise keywords for example "trade large format printing printdot" which should be the closest match to my homepage totle tag possible.
I know som eo fyou have mentioned domain...
thank you guys for some reaslly useful and in depth tips, much appreciated, it is always useful to hear somebody else telling you their ideas because you (well i know i do) forgot things and miss things along the way and this really helps bring everything back on track.
This has led me to another question regarding this now, if i take the title tag as it is now of my home page and search google for "trade large format printing printdot" which should match up pretty well with my homepage i get a load of other pages ahead of mine, some of which are our blog, and...
Ok i understand, i was thinking that because in google ranking my site shows up as "Printdot: Trade Discount On Large Format Printing, Banners And Signs" that i didn't need to add printdot in again.
If this is not the case then that's fine.
If i am to change this now will i see the results right...
That's a good point which i hadn't really considered Duffers, i would have thought that, that would undermine their whole idea of "good" seo and sem to clean up search rankings and deliver the most relevant content to their users.
ok so their site is 3 years 11 months old, ours is 1 year 2 months i can understand that age may play a role in search position but i would have thought that google would really be favoring sites with more relevance eg a .co.uk website when searching on the uk google platform rather than an...

When i type "printdot" into google.co.uk our site shows up in position #2
