FAQ schema is still a great practice, if it works for your site, but I doubt that it will be able to rank as before. In my personal experience, FAQ schema ranks due to the answer.

I have applied both method and according to me, it all depend on how many busines s you are operating. the tidy method is very convenient, but having a separation between the two become easier in the long run.
