You should never copy content from another site.. you can use it as reference to write about a similar subject.. its best to stick with original content.. don't spin it either a lot of spinners now days do not work well..

As the poster above said.. getting ranked and getting indexed are 2 total different things.. to get indexed faster make sure you have a proper sitemap setup and submit it in Webmaster Console... Also make sure your robots.txt is setup properly as well and its not blocking anything.... to rank...
