Harder now a days to get traffic. Personally, tumblr, instagram work better.

Don`t spam many links, keep interaction between accounts minimum.

I follow 1k day, no ban. Account has 200k+ followers, 12K following. However, I haven`t unfollowed anyone, and don`t plan on till I follow around 50k. I use tweepi, to follow targeted people so it`s a little slower.

Or just copy and paste from big accounts, they do that with each other anyways :)
