I used yourprivateproxy before I rolled my own multi IP VPS with Squid. They were good. Make sure you're allowed to do whatever you're planning before you sign up. Some no longer allow scrapebox for example.

The EMD factor is overrated and by itself won't get you much. Therefore it really doesn't matter. I tested this recently and came up to the same conclusion several times. You may get a better click through rate once you're on the first page. Think how often you click on .info or *-*-*...

Did you even try creating your own? The process is so simple. * pick a footprint (such as bookmarking site, forum, wordpress blog, etc) * scrape for such footprint (based on something unique to the footprint) * clean up the results and create a custom packet based on an existing one...

Interesting ... They're all neatly organized, aren't they :) You can only get phone/address - not the e-mail. The use of that would be limited. The scraper would need to understand javascript - firewatir would be one good choice.

What are you guys using now that yahoo site explorer is dead? I've been (auto) scraping majesticseo, but I wonder if there is a better option. (seomoz and majesticseo were the two candidates I was picking from)

Exactly. Why the idea is sound (getting links indexed, or at least crawled), the effect is diminishing. I saw this when I wrote my own pinger, so I could track the crawl speed. It depends on what you're pinging obviously, but if it's xrumer links (which was my case), good luck making them...

this vps has been going strong for me for several months. mainly scrapebox - love the unlimited bandwidth quota whoever mentioned the security essentials - be careful - I've seen it not catch some browser malware several times - something both avast and avg took care of without a blink.
