The algorithm is getting really good at detecting sources. There is really no easy way to just bypass it with small changes. You may need to make larger edits, compilations, or add commentary for it to be counted as unique/derivative content. Just avoid violating the ToS.

Possible? Yes. Wise? Maybe not. If I wanted to create multiple sites, I'd probably just create 5 sites in different niches, build them up for a few months to a solid point, and sell ad slots and/or backlinks from guest posts. It's much more manageable and scalable if it works out.
