It's very worth it, but like others said, be prepared to spend hours solving issues. That's part of the game. Start with something small, that you already know works manually and you actually want solved. It will help you get through the problem solving.

AI is your friend now. You most likely want to you use python. You can start out in a Jupyter notebook to see what works and then copy that over to a script once you're happy.

It depends a lot on the information you provide it as well. Context engineering is what that's called now. Imo it still takes a good software engineer to steer the agent into a direction that doesn't result in an unmaintainable mess.
