There is no normal or stable any more. Google looooooooooooooooves ranking old and outdated articles that do not satisfy the user question at all these days, despite fresher more relevant content being available - this is both for us and many of our competitors.
Think engagement refers more to the CTR. Which is definitely a factor even if Google decides to pick a completely old and irrelevant article and the CTR failure is their fault.
To the OP - have you checked which article was the last to surface?
This "zeroing" happens quite often for a lot of...
Thanks. The Favicon is a weird problem that happens sometimes and sometimes not. Try using both the Google search widget on Android and Google Chrome for search and see if it's present on both.
There is a lot of weird stuff happening with GSC including some websites getting completely nuked...
Well there's a lot of Google cooties going around right now. Let's see if you're in the wthishappeninggoogle illness camp.
- Favicon both desktop and mobile?
- Which OS are you testing on?
- Traffic loss - are you on AMP? If you are, has your AMP traffic decreased - despite same % of mobile...
That update was not confirmed, though. How are your rankings otherwise?
Most sites this happened to (both 10 Aug and later on) say their rankings are stable or even improving.
There are a few documented cases of sites that were doing perfectly fine in Google Discover completely vanishing fro the feed recently.
For some it started after the 10 August "glitch" and never returned. Others say it started last week sometime before the sensors started spiking.
Anyone here...
There's a lot of weird stuff going on with GSC and especially mobile results/rankings since around 15-18 September. Some people say that the pages returned by themselves, for others it is way more complicated including issues with Google selecting incorrect and unrelated canonicals.
Looking for anyone who has worked with AMP Stories, specifically with the full bleed variant who can assist in refining a few templates. Bonus if you know how to set up Google Sheets as a CMS to integrate the two.
Not even sure the previous tremors was an update though. Not in terms of the SERPs anyway.
Lots of weird movements on Discover feeds (bad ones). Maybe it's a roll back. Maybe it's another "glitch".
Another "glitch"? One e-commerce client rocketed on Friday (highest average in about four months), started plunging again yesterday. Everything is volatile - no clear identifier (personally speaking) on what is causing what.
