Could be the different criteria set by mods in that subreddit. some have rules that accounts that are new cannot post/ karma limits/Join the subreddit to post etc. So even if you don't post a link, the post gets removed automatically.

the only catch to this is that you should already have an account with enough karma to comment on that subreddit. If you are looking to grow from zero, will have to grind before moving to this strategy.

Currently better traffic = SEO. As more and more people start using LLM's for their searches, AEO/GEO will play a bigger role. Better to get started on them soon.
