Getting the first few members into a new subreddit seems much harder than growing an established community. If you were starting a subreddit today, how would you approach getting the first 100 genuinely interested members?

Reddit traffic can be really valuable, but it’s definitely not as simple as posting a link everywhere. Finding the right communities and understanding what they allow is key.

Shorts are useful as a discovery tool, but I wouldn’t spend all my time chasing Shorts views. If your goal is a strong, engaged audience, putting more effort into quality long form videos may be the better move.

I focus more on fresh pins for now since they give you more chances to test new ideas, while updating older pins is worth doing when you know the topic already performs well.

Trending topics can bring quick engagement, but original thoughts and real experiences usually create better conversations.

Saves show that the content resonates, but clicks tell you whether it actually motivates people to take the next step, so I think both metrics matter.
